Xi’an Intangible Cultural Heritage Grand Theatre gathers classic intangible cultural heritage performances from Shaanxi, Sichuan and Chongqing. One single show features 13 national and provincial-level traditional folk art acts, making it a signature must-visit attraction for tourists to experience authentic local folk culture in Xi’an.
This diverse performance combines dynamic and delicate acts for outstanding viewing pleasure. It includes iconic Northwest-style arts such as Ansai Waist Drum, Northern Shaanxi Storytelling, excerpts from Qinqiang Opera and Shaanxi Clapper Talk, as well as exquisite traditional crafts: Huaxian shadow puppetry, long-spout pot kung fu tea art and intangible heritage ladder acrobatics. The show also incorporates unique highlights like Sichuan Opera Face-Changing and warrior maid opera scenes.
