Zhujiajiao Water Town Boat Tour Tickets - Venice of the East

Zhujiajiao is a millennium-old water town in western Shanghai, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Upon arrival, stroll along flagstone-paved old streets and wander through bustling traditional markets, where a wide variety of local specialties and vendors’ hawking create a delightful, surprising scene.
Scattered among the lanes are many Ming-Qing ancient bridges, with Fangsheng Bridge—hailed as Shanghai’s finest stone arch bridge—standing out as the most famous. To immerse yourself in the town’s historical charm, a boat ride is perfect: board a wooden sculling boat and glide into the canal. As oars sway gently, white-walled, black-tiled houses on both banks recede slowly, and Fangsheng Bridge’s silhouette emerges amid ripples. The boatman’s steady rowing rhythm holds the town’s millennium-old stories, and every ripple whispers traces of time.
